Connected Learning Spreads Across the Ocean

Chicago Learning Exchange's (CLX) Sana Jafri traveled to Barcelona, Spain in January to deliver a keynote address at Educacio360's annual conference. The conference attracted more than 400 educators who are creating a connected learning ecosystem in their region similar to the ecosystem CLX is cultivating in Chicago. She spoke about how CLX networks educators and organizations so Chicago youth are connected into an ecosystem of opportunities to learn and work. Sana also spoke about how CLX is pushing the envelope to make learning that is "invisible" like 21st-century skills more "visible" through digital badges (also known as micro-credentials). These CLX strategies are in service of closing opportunity and equity gaps for digital-age learners and leaders.
