Chicago Feature in HundrED's Forerunners Publication
Although there have been enormous challenges in learning due to COVID-19, the often untold story is all that is good. That is until now.
Through a partnership with Remake Learning, Remake Learning Days, and The Grable Foundation, HundrED, an internationally renowned organization that highlights education innovations happening all over the world, published a report highlighting replicable regional innovations that have had a large impact in cities across the United States.
As one of the 16 regions participating in Remake Learning Days Across America, the Chicago Learning Exchange (CLX) submitted several projects highlighting innovations in learning from our Network members. Of those submitted, HundrED selected Chicago Learning Exchange and its network members, Chicago Public Library’s YOUMedia program and Civitas Education Partners: Community Impact Experience, which inspires, challenges, and prepares students to impact their communities and the world as consultants, designers, problem solvers, critical thinkers, and innovators!
“The Learning Forerunners Across America Spotlight… highlights system-level best practices that foster innovation at scale in 16 regions across the United States. These system-wide innovations can be top-down initiatives, practices, or policies that enable impactful and scalable approaches to learning in at least 10 schools or institutions or an entire region.”
We would like to congratulate YOUMedia and Civitas for the amazing work they continue to offer for Chicago youth to connect to their interests and carry them into their future. Check out the official publication: HundrED Forerunners Across America. Here’s our article feature: Chicago: From Conventional Learning to Connected Learning.
Together, we were able to put Chicago on the global map.
