Join CLX for our 2026-2027 series of bimonthly meetups. Connect with other OST professionals, plan collaborations, and do the work together instead of in isolation. Locations to be announced. See you soon!

What's a Meetup?

As a Chicago Out-of-school-time (OST) network weaver, CLX facilitates regular meetups for our community. Meetups provide a Community of Practice for Chicago OST professionals to connect, build relationships, share resources and information, and build collaborations and partnerships to better serve Chicago's young people. A community of practice is a group of people who "share a concern or a passion for something they do and learn how to do it better as they interact regularly" (Wenger-Traynor,2015). Meetups form one component of a broader CLX suite of programs and asynchronous resources to connect, invest in, and advocate for Chicago's OST community. These include trainings, professional learning communities, responsive topics, and asynchronous resources like our member slack.
