CLX Field Trip #1| Chicago Architecture Biennial

  • 01.03.2020 @ 4:00pm – 7:00pm
  • Chicago Culture Center

The Chicago Architecture Biennial, and other such stories, invites practitioners and the public to engage with architecture and the built environment as prisms through which to reflect upon social, geopolitical, and ecological processes that affect our collective past, present, and future. This exhibit is particularly inspired by Chicago, moving beyond the grand narratives of the city’s architectural heritage to explore the history and conditions that have and continue to shape its urban development. With a broader view on the field of architecture, it embraces practices that span building, design, planning, visual art, policymaking, education, and activism.

CLX is honored to host our own member Emmanuel Pratt, Sweet Water Foundation, and the 2019 MacArthur Fellow for a private conversation following the 60-minute tour. Arrive at the Chicago Cultural Center, promptly at 4 pm to join the guided tour and stay for a conversation with Emmanuel Pratt and light refreshments.
