CLX Community Meetup | July 2019
Join us!
Each month, the Chicago Learning Exchange convenes a professional learning community of dynamic educators and youth development professionals who believe in the promise of connected learning. Together, they are working to transform the educational experiences of digital-age youth and cultivate an ecosystem—fueled by technology and open innovation—that produces independent, lifelong learners.
At the July 2019 Meetup, CLX welcomes all teachers to join the CLX community for a hands-on and interactive professional development workshop at Columbia College. Participants will dive into the world of Connected Learning and make connections with educators in CLX’s professional learning community, who represent more than 200 youth-serving organizations, cultural institutions, city agencies, and universities.
CLX meetups feature hands-on workshops, presentations, and dedicated time and space to meet with like-minded professionals working to close our city's opportunity gap.

Standard Meetup Agenda
The standard meetup agenda format is provided below.
- 8:45 AM – Arrival
- 9:00 AM – Registration + Breakfast + Meet & Greet
- 9:15 AM – Introductions and Agenda
- 9:20 AM – Community Announcements + Shareouts
- 9:35 AM - Tinker Time - Engage with new apps/practices to apply to your work.
- 10:00 AM - Meetup Spotlight - Presentation and/or Workshop
- 10:30 AM - Housekeeping
- 10:35 AM - Networking + Working Group Time - Join existing groups or start your own!
- 12:00 PM – Meetup Ends
