MY Foundation: Street Smarts to Great Starts Corp.

MY Foundation: Street Smarts to Great Starts Corp., is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization located in Chicago Illinois. The organization was founded by two African American women, born and raised in the Englewood Community in Chicago: Jvonne Foster (President/CEO), and Dr. Shenika Jackson (Chief Operating Officer) in May 2017. Earlier, in 2016, the first pilot project: My College Going Self, began as an all-teen minority male project to serve minority teens ages 14 to 18, make the transition from high school to higher education. MY Foundation received their first grant from The Pollination Project, an organization based in Berkely California.

In addition, a second project Rehab 360 was established by the President/CEO Jvonne Foster, who plans to support minority girls with developing careers in the construction trades. Our Mission: To educate, train, and employ high school teens ages 14 to 18, with life skills to achieve the success needed to become self-sufficient. MY Foundation's greatest accomplish to date includes receiving a $10,000 grant from the Auburn Gresham Development Corp., to continue to enhance the organization, and serve more minority teens in Chicago communities.
