Chris Connor (he/him) - Chicago Zoological Society | Brookfield Zoo

Beginning his professional career in tech and formal academia, in 2012, Christopher formally ventured into informal education in zoos and began a campaign to reimagine conservation education, champion cultural representation and social equity. Currently, Chris leads the King Conservation Science Scholars at the Chicago Zoological Society Brookfield Zoo. Along his journey, Christopher has been recognized for the work of him and his teams through 2 North American Association for Environmental Education (NAAEE) 30 Under 30 Game Changer Awards, Association of Zoos and Aquariums (AZA) Significant Achievement in Diversity Award, a state Cultural Fusion Award, and a multitude of other community service and advocacy awards. He is an unapologetic champion for positive mental health especially in teens. Christopher is a proud HBCU (Historically Black College and University) grad and Project Dragonfly alumnus.
