Associate Director, Science in Society - Northwestern University
Science in Society works collaboratively with high-needs, high-potential K-12 schools and community groups to strengthen K-12 STEM learning and mentorship opportunities.
The Associate Director plays key leadership, operational, and community-building roles for the Center’s in-and out-of-school education initiatives. The position will co-lead a new 5-year, $1.3M initiative to design and implement a novel K-5 science teacher leader training program in collaboration with Chicago Public Schools.
The successful candidate will have formal Next Generation Science Standards (NGSS) training, including experience leading teacher professional development. Classroom teachers with NGSS leadership experience are especially encouraged to apply.
