Peer Health Exchange Chicago
Peer Health Exchange’s mission is to empower young people with the knowledge, skills, and resources to make healthy decisions. They do this by training college students to teach a skills-based health curriculum in under-resourced high schools across the country. Through their skills-based curriculum, they aim to reduce unplanned pregnancy and substance abuse and increase help-seeking behavior. Volunteers teach a 14-workshop curriculum in which students develop skills in decision-making, communication, and advocacy. Peer Health Exchange also links students from classrooms to clinics to help young people get the health resources they need.
