Melody Ratliff

Melody participated in Public Allies with the Chicago Learning Exchange (CLX) as a Program Associate. As a Program Associate, her most recent accomplishments include developing all graphic design material for CLX's first hands-on learning festival, Remake Learning Days CHI which took place May 16-19, 2019. This included creating a 20-page brochure, flyers, welcome signs, pop-up banners, invitations, as well as postcards.

She's passionate about learning the fundamentals of nonprofit management and has a love for working with youth and art. Blending those passions, Melody previously worked as an after-school mentor with Youth Guidance at South Loop Elementary school where she taught her students the different benefits of art, through fashion and 3D-art. Melody's passion and experience as an after-school art teacher to becoming an intern for a nonprofit organization CLX, have helped her learn the fundamentals of communication, art, and teamwork.

Melody loves to work on art during her spare time. She creates paintings and charcoal drawings, which is one of her favorite art mediums to use. Through her charcoal drawings, she creates realistic images of different individuals, whether it is a family member or a friend.

Melody has technical skills in working with Excel, Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, Indesign. She graduated from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.
