Broadcasting Career Mentor

Broadcasting Career Mentor (BCM) provides educational programming and skill-based training to urban youth to improve communication skills, build confidence, and enhance economic opportunities through jobs in the media industry.

BCM is unique because we take sports which is a common interest for youth, and use it to increase reading, writing, and communication skills. The program's hands-on training builds their communication skills as they learn to articulate on camera. Once the participants view themselves reporting with a microphone on video, it builds their confidence. As BCM improves the communication skills and confidence of youth we can change their lives for the better. These skills will help them in any career field they embark upon.

Broadcasting Career Mentor emphasizes the use of digital media in the form of YouTube. All of our programs are hands-on which we believe makes this a good fit to join the CLX community.
